Following the hit film that was adapted from the popular Chinese novel by Gu Man of the same name, Love O2O is a 30-episode series about two popular college students who unexpectedly find love through an online game. Starring Yang Yang and Zheng Shuang, the drama showcases the emotional lives of modern college students China.
Bei Wei Wei (Zheng Shuang) is the campus goddess, who also excels in her studies. She aspires to be an online game designer/engineer, and goes by the alias of Luwei Weiwei in the online role-playing game Dreaming of Jianghu. Xiao Nai (Yang Yang) is the most popular student in the campus. He is a game expert, excels in academics and sports. He also happens to be the president of a game company whose employees, who are remarkably talented, are mostly university student.
When Xiao Nai first comes across WeiWei, he immediately falls in love with her. But not because of her looks; its her fast fingers that captures him instantly. Its the ridiculous mastery she has with the commands while playing the game.
In the game, players can work together to defeat some monsters, clear dungeons, complete missions etc. So they can have guilds and even marry another player.
Weiwie got married in the game, not romantically but just for the sake of defeating and completing stages/dungeons. After she gets dumped by her online husband Zhenshui Wuxiang, she gets approached by the number one player Yixiao Naihe, who suggested that they get married so they both can participate in a couple competition within the game. The newly formed couple instantly hit it off, and undergo many adventures together in the game.
Little did she know that her virtual husband ~ Yixiao Naihe, is her college senior ~ Xiao Nai whom she has a crush on. When Wei Wei discovers his true identity, they have already fallen in love with each other. Together, they face many obstacles as due to their good looks, many are jealous of them.
